The Midnight Anthem is a country inspired trio of singer songwriters with an uncanny knack for creating music that is both fun to listen to and touches the soul. Sisters Cat Malli and Sophia Malli, along with cousin Grace Cuccia are all born within a year of each other and have been singing together their entire lives. Having grown up living an hour away from each other, they had lots of car rides back and forth to sing along to their favorite music, eventually learning to harmonize. After discovering a love for Taylor Swift and learning what it meant to be a songwriter, the seeds were planted for the girls to begin writing their own songs, and with that, the passion grew. In their early teen years, they picked up guitar and piano to begin putting music behind the lyrics they were so proud of. At family functions, the budding musicians would grab their guitars and find a quiet corner to play each other the new songs they had written.
Music is a family tradition for The Midnight Anthem. Much of their childhood was spent with their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and 19 cousins performing and celebrating America's history at fife and drum musters in Connecticut & New York. In 2021, the ladies continued the tradition by forming The Midnight Anthem. Their rhythm section includes Cat and Sophia's brother, Ian (aka "BassBro"), on bass and Grace's dad, Dominick (aka "DrumDad"), on drums.
The group has performed at a variety of venues across the northeast and beyond. Highlights include their debut at the world-famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN; a feature at the VIP Pre-Show at Tim McGraw's 2022 Tour in Syracuse, NY; opening for Travis Denning, headlining CountryFest 23 in Putnam, CT; performing at the '23 and '24 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC; performing on the Country 92.5 Main Stage for three consecutive years at the Goshen (CT) Stampede; and a residency at the Connecticut Convention Center for "Glow Hartford".
