Steve Brown is a guitarist, composer, and arranger. He is also a professor of music at Ithaca College. Ray Brown is the coauthor of An Introduction To Jazz Improvisation, an instructional book and recording. He has recorded with Chuck Israels National Jazz ensemble, Chuck Mangione, as well as The California big band, Full, Faith, and Credit. He has written commissioned pieces for the Hal Galper Trio, Airmen of Note and the Ithaca Ageless Jazz Band. He also performed Cats with Phil Woods and wrote a piece for Harvard University Band. Steve Gilmore also released four compact discs as a guitarist/arranger, including Silhouette and The Jazz Dancer and The Bass Player. Reflections In The Night was recorded with Bill Charlap at Jazz Mania. Under the direction of drummer Danny D'Imperio he recorded four compact discs, Blues For Philly Joe and Hip To It on V.S.O.P. as well as Glass Enclosure on The Sackville label. He is a very active performer/clinician in both the United States as well as Europe. This album contains eight tracks.
