Michale Graves blasted onto the music scene in 1995 as the lead singer of one of the most legendary horror punk bands of all time, The Misfits. The band soon kicked off an explosive tour of Europe and the United States dubbed "Resurrection." Soon after the band signed to Geffen Records and released "American Psycho" - their first Misfits release in almost twenty years. Michale composed the majority of the songs on the album including both singles, "Dig Up Her Bones" and "American Psycho."
In October of 1999 The Misfits released "Famous Monsters" on Roadrunner Records. Michale again penned most of the music including the mega hit "Crying On Saturday Night" in which he was awarded "Vocalist of the Year" and "Song of the Year" in Japan's biggest Rock magazine, Burrn.
Michale left The Misfits in 2001 embarking on a solo career. His first solo album, "Web of Dharma" was self released. He then started a new band in 2003 called Gotham Rd. Michale again played hundreds of US shows without the support of a record label. In 2005 Michale inked a deal with an independent start up Horror High Records to release "Punk Rock Is Dead" which remains an underground classic.
2006 saw the release of Michale's next solo album, "Return to Earth," again on Horror High Records.
In 2007 Michale partnered with SOS Records for the release of the "Illusions" album which featured 5 songs with lyrics written by Damien Echols of the famous West Memphis Three.
In 2008 Michale starred in Craig Singer's "Perkins 14" a horror movie filmed in Romania. While in Romania Michale jumped into the studio to record 6 demo tracks. He also re-recorded his song "Blackbird" which was featured in the film. Later in 2008 Michale partnered with Screaming Crow Records for the release of "Illusions Live/Viretta Park" which was recorded live during the "Illusions" tour. The 23 track live album outsold all of Michale's solo albums to date and continues to sell.
