Grande Royale is back with their third album "Breaking News" on The Sign Records. Ten track of High Energy rock that have been recorded and produced by Nicke Andersson (The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric) at his studio the Honk Palace. Packed with powerful riffs that works as gasoline for the songs, the album ignites as screaming guitar solos takes it all the way to eleven. Each song is hold together by a sing a long friendly pop hooks and an overload of melodies. Hampus Steenberg: "During our time with Nicke he always told us that every song needs a 'hook'. Something that you will remember after hearing the song just once, and I really think we managed to find that hook while writing this songs. It stick, even if you like 'em or not" Grande Royale have after two self released albums signed a deal with The Sign Records. With a label and producer Nicke Andersson by their side the band have taken several steps, both as songwriters and by creating a new sound. Arriving in the studio Grande Royale noticed that Nicke Andersson was going through an Lynyrd Skynyrd obsessive period, an interest and obsession that the band shared. The entire recording period was heavily influenced by Lynyrd Skynyrd and updated the bands sound to lean more towards a timeless southern rock sound. The Swedish bands heritage shines though as the band picks up most of the ingrediences that we love with Swedish music as well of the classic rock acts. Grande Royales new album "Breaking News" is all about radio friendly feelgood rock n roll anthems. If you have any love lost for The Hellacopters this might very well be your next fix.

Press Quotes

Breaking News was recorded by Nicke [Entombed/Hellacopters] Andersson at his Honk Palace studio and, by all accounts, was created in a haze created by the things that usually create haze alongside healthy helpings of rock 'n' roll that fall somewhere between classic Motor City madness and chaw spittin' southern rock.

'Seriously, it cannot be overstated how great this record sounds. The production is top notch even on a digital copy through tiny speakers.'

If you have any love lost for The Hellacopters this might very well be your next fix.

     —Rock N Load Magazine, http://rocknloadmag.com/next-big-thing/grande-roya

This album is a very fun, concise example of what rock should sound like

     —Moshpit Nation, http://www.moshpitnation.com/grande-royale-breakin

the band basks in a classic heavy rock sunshine and analog depth, leaving no room for pretense when it comes to bringing forth '70s influences as filtered through more modern garage push.

     —The Obelisk, http://theobelisk.net/obelisk/2017/08/22/grande-ro

''Brake Light' is a pop-tastic rocker. 'Devil's Place' smells of Nicke Andersson and is one of the best tracks on the album. 'Got To Move' makes me want to dance. This is feelgood rock music to get parties started.'

     —Roppongi Rocks, https://roppongirocks.com/2017/08/25/album-review-

'Fans of Scandinavian rock will love 'Got to Move' and 'R'N'R Business', and there's no doubt that 'Breaking News' will be their new favourite album!'

     —Veglam, https://veglam.com/2017/08/08/grand-royale-breakin

Breaking News is an album that is jam-packed with old school rock riffs, huge hooks & plenty of toe-tapping melody. Feel good music with a healthy swagger about it.

—Games, Brrraaains and a headbanging life, https://gbhbl.com/album-review-grande-royale-break

'Breaking News' captures a more mellow sound than it's predecessor, think more Lynyrd Skynyrd and Thin Lizzy than Judas Priest

     —Broken Arrow Magazine, http://www.brokenarrowmagazine.com/grande-royale-b

'Breaking News' is one of the best and most pure rock n roll albums you will hear this year.

     —Maximum Volume, http://www.maximumvolumemusic.com/grand-royale-bre

Underneath Grande Royale's brash, punky bravado, there exists a band in thrall to hard edged sixties powerpop, percolated through seventies rock.

     —Midlands Rocks, http://www.themidlandsrocks.com/grande-royale-brea

Breaking News by Grande Royale is a straight up, rock album with solid riffs and thundering bass. It has more hooks than a bait shop and it is as progressive as it is vintage.

     —Jace Media, http://jacemedia.co.uk/2017/09/grand-royale-give-u

All you rock and roll fans out there, you should get the album

     —Tempelores, http://tempelores.com/?p=18471

Straight from the first song Know It All, Grande Royale set their stall out for the type of high energy, clean guitar rock that can be listened to anywhere.

     —Rush on rock, http://rushonrock.com/2017/07/29/grande-royale-cha

rock 'n' roll that fall somewhere between classic Motor City madness and chaw spittin' southern rock.
